Description
Originally created by monks, the upper and lower Kelzer Teich continue to be used for fish farming. All other bodies of water were created for nature conservation reasons. Trstenjak cvrkutić, Mali Gnjurac and Kokošica breed in the extensive reed beds. Sokol Lastavičar and Eja Močvarica hunt here and every year at migration time Bukoč can be observed. Occasionally, rarities such as Bukavac, Riđogrli Gnjurac or Čaplja Danguba are also reported. In winter the water from the ponds is drained.
