Description
The Herrenteich attracts various waders (Kulik Sljepčić, Krivokljuna Prutka, Crna Prutka, Prutka Migavica, Crnokrila Prutka, Šljuka Kokošica), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the Vodomar, Gorska Pastirica, Crna lunja, Crvena lunja and various ducks and geese. From time to time Crna Roda, Kobac, Jastreb are flying over. Now and then, Bukoč, Eja Močvarica, and Sokol Lastavičar can also be seen.
The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.

The area is best explored on foot and free parking is available directly in front of the lake at the inn. The footbridges are freely accessible and you can enjoy a drink while watching.
