A small, valuable wetland biotope for breeding and migrating bird species in northern Hessen.
Glockenborn bei Bründersen is a small nature reserve characterized by hay meadows and wet meadows with two shallow ponds, temporary small bodies of water and some reed beds. Numerous bird species that have become rare in Hessen come here to breed and rest. Rarities are also regularly reported, such as Žličarka, Čaplja Danguba, Riđa Štijoka and Vlastelica. The area is very easy to explore and is equipped with several observation towers.
Glockenborn bei Bründersen is located between Wolfhagen and the Bründersen district on the K107 road. The area can be reached by car. Parking is available at a parking lot along K 107. Click on the P in the map for directions. The area is very easy to walk on as long as one of the free-roaming cattle doesn't block the path. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 2 km.
