Description

The Dürbheimer Moos includes open water areas with mud islands, fescue grasslands and sedge bulrushes, reed beds, sedge reeds, cabbage thistle meadows and wetland fallows. Depending on the water levels and time of year, a variety of ducks ( Kržulja, Krunata Patka) and waders can be seen. The meadows are good for Bijela roda. Crnoglavi Batić, Pjegavi Cvrčić and many Močvarna Strnadica, Žuta strnadica breed in the smaller bushes and reed beds in the area.

The higher trees along the northern lake are good for thrushes (Kos, Drozd Cikelj, Drozd Bravenjak, Mali Drozd) and many other small passerines. In spring and autumn Dürbheimer Moos is a Čvorak roosting site, with sometimes over a thousand Čvorak.
