Description
At the river Ahr are breeding Kulik Sljepčić and Vodomar. In the floodplains are meadows, forests and a little reedbed. In the meadows are breeding Sivi Ćuk (10 territories in 2020). Rusi Svračak and Pjegavi Cvrčić are possible breeding birds. In the forests are breeding Slavuj , Vuga and Crvenoglavi djetlić. You can also see Crna lunja and Sokol Lastavičar during breeding time. In the little reedbed are Trstenjak cvrkutić and Trstenjak Mlakar (also common next to the Ahr). Kratkokrili Voljić and Žuti Voljić can also be found in the area.
During migration, you can see migratory birds like Bukoč and Crnokrila Prutka. In winter you can see some wintering birds like Vodenkos.

Access
There is a train station in Linz (direct connections to Cologne and Koblenz), from where you have to cross the Rhine with the ferry to Kripp. Another train station is in Sinzig (direct connections to Bonn and Koblenz) from where you can go directly to the meadows at the southern edge of the area.
You can park in Kripp (follow the B9 until Kripp). The walking route you see on the map is about 7 km.
