In the western part you can observe different ducks (Divlja Patka, Patka Kreketaljka, Bijeli ronac), gulls (Mali tamnoleđi galeb, Veliki crnoglavi galeb, Burni Galeb, Mali Galeb) and terns (Dugokljuna Čigra, Crvenokljuna Čigra, Bjelokrila Čigra). The shores of the eastern part are muddy and flat, so it is a good place for waders (Crvenonoga Prutka, Prutka Migavica, Oštrigar, Pršljivac, Šljuka Kokošica). In the reedbeds you can find almost all species of herons, that live in Georgia (Siva Čaplja, Velika Bijela Čaplja, Žuta Čaplja, Čapljica Voljak).
Open spaces, covered with grass on the shores of the reservoir attract larks, shrikes, pipits and birds of prey (including Sivi Sokol, Mali Sokol, Crvenonoga Vjetruša, Bjelonokta Vjetruša, Stepska Eja, Stepski orao, Bukoč).
In the coastal forests live woodpeckers (Sirijski djetlić, Mali djetao, Vijoglav, Crna žuna), tits, finches (Zimovka, Zeba) and even Krstokljun.
