Description
You will reach the monument on your drive from Tblisi to Kazbegi, a few kilometers before the Jvari pass. It is a tourist attraction with car park and people selling food and memorabilia. There is a large observation platform and a smaller one near the car park. Look up for migrating birds like Škanjac osaš, Kratkoprsti kobac, Crna lunja or local Suri orao, Bijela Čiopa or Gavran. On the rocks below you can see species like Crvenokljuna galica, Žutokljuna galica, Alpski popić, Crvenokrili litičar and Planinski kos. Check the grassland for Planinska trepteljka and Red-fronted Serin.
