Description
Neuvry is a very good spot for waterbirds, and also for local rarities. Crnoglavi Galeb and Riječni Galeb breed in small numbers, as do Patka Gogoljica , Krunata Patka and Crnogrli Gnjurac. Čaplja Govedarica, Velika Bijela Čaplja and Mala Bijela Čaplja are all regular. Waders are quite common in stopover, especially Tringa sandpipers. Mala Šljuka winters in the area.
Mali Galeb , Bjelobrada Čigra, Crna Čigra and Bukoč are regular. This also a good place for ducks in migration period. Among the recent rarities are Dugonoga prutka , Žuta Čaplja , Patka ledara , Riđogrli Gnjurac , Sijedi Žalar and Arktička čigra.

Access
The gravel pit is located directly north of the village of Neuvry. By car only (no train station around). You can go first to the western bird hide, and then walk along the eastern shore of the lake on the dirt road. Be careful, driving is forbidden on the dirt road around the lake, you're in a Natural Reserve, you may be fined. The circular walking route is about 4,5 km.
