Description
Etang du Gallardon is a lake located between the river Seine and the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine. Among the more common birds, you will see manyKanadska guska, Crvenokljuni Labud, Divlja Patka, Mlakuša, Vodomar and Gorska Pastirica year-round.
During the spring, you will be welcomed with Crvenokljuna Čigra, Lastavica, Piljak, Čiopa and many other singers. During migrations, you will occasionally find shorebirds on the gravel edges of the lake. Most common will be Mala Prutka, Crnokrila Prutka and Vivak. But, if you are lucky, a Žalar Cirikavac or a Crvenonoga Prutka will await you ! Winter is the most interesting season for the site, as many ducks and other laridae are coming there. Among the most common figure the Patka Žličarka, Patka Kreketaljka, Kržulja, Glavata Patka, Krunata Patka, Burni Galeb and Mali Gnjurac. But, there are yearly reports of much rarer birds ! Ušati gnjurac, Mali ronac, loons, Patka Batoglavica have been seen a few times in the last decade.

Etang du Gallardon is located between the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine and the river Seine. From the A13, take the 8th exit and follow the "Verneuil-sur-Seine" signs. You can park in front of the lake, there is a public and free parking lot.
