Nature circuit inside Écomusée d'Alsace, the largest open-air museum in France. A site with a wide variety of habitats.
Écomusée d'Alsace is the largest open-air museum in France, located between Colmar and Mulhouse. It resembles a traditional Alsatian village from the beginning of the 20th century and comprises more than 80 buildings on a surface of 97 hectare. The Écomusée d’Alsace was originally created on the industrial wasteland of the old potassium mines, some 30 years ago and has since become a site with a wide variety of habitats, a village, fields, forests, a pond and rivers, which have resulted in considerable biodiversity. Five trails are laid out to explore the area.
