Description
During migration and winter the water bodies can host lots of ducks if they have not been flushed by fishermen or hunters, among which several dozens of Glavata Patka and Krunata Patka and several hundreds of Liska . A rarity such as the Patka kulašica or Patka crninka is always possible in winter. Still in winter but above all during October-November and March the wet grassland is a very good spot for Šljuka Kokošica and Mala Šljuka.
In summer typical breeders include Crvenokljuna Čigra and Ćubasti Gnjurac on the lake, Rusi Svračak in the bushes or Livadna Trepetljka in the grassland.
In late summer and early autumn when water level drops the south-western water body can be very good for waders particularly Prutka Migavica or for a Crna Roda stopover. In spring when water level is higher, Crna Čigra , Bjelobrada Čigra or Mali Galeb are regularly seen foraging over water.
