Description

Saunders Island, is run as a sheep farm but has King Penguin, Gentoo Penguin, Southern Rockhopper Penguin and Magellanic Penguin. All species congregate on the beach, with Gentoo Penguin nesting on the beach and Magellanic Penguin between the sheep in nests underneath the Tussocks. Southern Rockhopper Penguin can be observed hopping down the steep cliffs in toward the ocean. A colony of Black-browed Albatross can also be observed. Raptors, gulls and skuas can be observed encircling the area.
