Description
The Slivsø lake was drained in 1957-1959 to be used for agriculture. Fortunately, in 2004 most of it was restored. There are several small islands where birds can nest safely. Among the birds you can encounter are Štekavac, Vodomar, Patka Pupčanica, Patka Žličarka, Utva, Kržulja, Krunata Patka, Glavata Patka, Patka Batoglavica, Krivokljuna Prutka, Mala Prutka and Eja Močvarica.

Access
There are several parking lots giving you access to different trails. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that parking place. The path along the north bank is about 3.5 km long and brings you close to the lake and wildlife. From the old pumping station, which has been converted into a lookout tower, there is a view of the entire lake and its bird life.
