Its is one of a few breeding places of Crnogrli Gnjurac in the Czech republic and features also other waterfowl like Patka Žličarka, Patka Pupčanica or Patka Lastarka to name a few which are more rare. The local reedbeds also offer opportunities to see number of warblers, Močvarna Strnadica or even Brkata Sjenica. Herons and gulls also naturaly stop by, also swifts, finches and sparrows from the towns and villages around. On the fields, various birds of prey, buntings or larks can be observed.
