Plateau du Gerny is an area of open fields surrounded by bushes. Crvena lunja and Crna lunja are frequent. Annual observations of Šareni kulik, Eja Livadarka, Primorska Trepetljka and sometimes Ždral on the ground. Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are Velika trepteljka, Rusogrla trepteljka, Bijeloglava strnadica, Vrtna strnadica, Bijela strnadica, Pupavac, Škanjac gaćaš, Stepska Eja, Patuljasti orao, Bijela lunja and Crvenonoga Vjetruša.

You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
