Description
The southern pond can be overlooked from a hide. In the breeding season, many reed and freshwater species can be encountered, such as Trstenjak cvrkutić, Svilorepa(all year), Vodomar (also at other ponds), Sokol Lastavičar, and in some years more rare reed dwellers. Wintering ducks regularly include Zviždara. The northern pond is more open and holds populations of grebes, ducks and other freshwater species. Waders may occur during their migration period. It can be overlooked from a tower that is also suitable to scan the neighboring marsh- and grasslands. A walk through the area with scattered wood- and bushland will add a large variety of passerines to your list.
