Description

The Boelarebos is home to forest birds such as the Brgljez, Veliki Djetlić, Crvenoglavi djetlić en Crna žuna, as well as the Mali djetao. You can see all the woodpeckers of Flanders in the area, because it is a classic deciduous forest with oaks and beeches and undergrowth. In the coppice you can see the Crnoglava sjenica, Zlatoglavi Kraljić, Crnokapa Grmuša and other typical species.

Nederlands: Het Boelarebos is een typisch hellingbos van ongeveer 25 hectare met hoofdzakelijk eik en beuk. Het bos herbergt bosvogels zoals Brgljez, Veliki Djetlić, Crvenoglavi djetlić en Crna žuna en ook de Mali djetao. Je kan er dus alle spechten van Vlaanderen zien omdat het een klassiek loofhout bos is met eiken en beuken en onderbegroeiing. In het middelhout kan je dan weer Crnoglava sjenica, Zlatoglavi Kraljić, Crnokapa Grmuša en de andere typische soorten zien.

Nederlands: Het Boelarebos ligt direct ten zuiden van Geraardsbergen. Je kan toegang nemen via de openbare weg Boelarebos die midden door het gebied loopt. De rondwandeling die is weergegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 1,5 km.
