Großkirchheim is a village within the Mölltal Valley, and part of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The area has green meadows, forested mountain slopes and on the bottom of the valley the Möll River. You can find birds of prey, forest birds such as Veliki Djetlić, Zlatoglavi Kraljić, and various tit species such as Kukmasta sjenica. Along the Möll River you can find Gorska Pastirica and Vodenkos.
