Beautiful and easy circular walking route of 1,5 km around the lake Burgsee. In the surrounding mixed forest you can observe forest birds. On the lake you find waterfowl but sometimes also rarities and migrant birds. Along the route are nice places to sit and watch. Among the common birds you can encounter are Golub Grivnjaš, Velika Sjenica, Veliki Djetlić, Plavetna Sjenica, Kratkoprsti puzavac, Crna žuna, Patka Pupčanica, Dugorepa Sjenica, Brgljez, Gugutka, Vodomar, Brgljez, Velika Bijela Čaplja and Crvendać.

The best way to get to the Burgsee is by car. There is a parking lot right at the lake. But it is also a nice route by bike. From the main square in Lockenhaus you can also walk or cycle to the Burgsee. There you can hike/drive along the stream and watch Vodomar in winter.
