Mangroves, mudflats, rocky shoreline and a rock wall for cormorants and other sea birds.
Burnett Heads Mudflats is a great birding spot because it attracts a variety of shorebirds and waders, especially during migration seasons. The mix of tidal mudflats, mangroves, and nearby coastal habitats makes it ideal for spotting bird species and good for photography.
Burnett Heads is located north of Bundaberg. You can park along Kelly Street at Gorman Park. Press P on the map for directions. There is a rock wall to walk across which can be slippery so be careful on it.
