Description

Troll Station is a Norwegian research station located at Jutulsessen, 235 kilometers from the coast in the eastern part of Princess Martha Coast in Dronning Maud Land (Queen Maud Land). It is Norway's only all-year research station in Antarctica, and is operated by the Norwegian Polar Institute. It is located in a unique breeding area for inland birds in Antarctica. Three species of Antarctic birds come here to breed during the summer season: Antarctic Petrel, Snow Petrel and South Polar Skua.
