Description
Tegg's Nose is a Country Park managed by Cheshire East Council. When walking to reach the summit, you will experience different wildlife habitats including heathland, grassland, scree and woodland.
Rougequeue à front blanc, Tarier pâtre, Pouillot fitis, Pipit farlouse, Fauvette grisette, Linotte mélodieuse, Alouette des champs are present in the heathland. Martinet noir , Hirondelle rustique , Hirondelle de fenêtre , Buse variable and Faucon crécerelle can be seen in the sky. The woodland houses Sittelle torchepot, Mésange charbonnière, Mésange bleue, Roitelet huppé and other woodland species.
Tegg's Nose is also important area for butterflies and moth - Emperor Moth breed here.

Tegg’s Nose is located just east of Macclesfield. Park in one of the car parks (click P on the map for directions) on either side of the park. Gritstone Trail passes through the park. The area is best explored by foot. Cycling is not allowed in the park.
