Description

A very easy to get to wetland/wooded area containing several pools and wooded areas. Very good for a wide variety of birds such as Effraie des clochers, Hibou des marais, Buse variable, Martinet noir, Grand Cormoran, Grèbe castagneux, Grèbe huppé, Épervier d'Europe, Oie cendrée as well as a great spot for migrants. If you are lucky, you might even see a Roe Deer or two, and there is also interesting archaeological site too.

Spring and summer see breeding waders flock to the reserve in huge numbers. Vanneau huppé , Chevalier gambette , Bécasseau variable and Huîtrier pie jostle for position with herons and egrets. Sometimes Petit Gravelot and Avocette élégante breed at Lunt Meadows. Other sightings have included everything from Sarcelle d'hiver , Combattant varié to Bécassine des marais and Barge à queue noire.
