Description

Llandegla Forest is one of the few places in Wales to see Tétras lyre lekking. The RSPB have a hide and as of 2022, guided walks, see their website. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are Engoulevent d'Europe, Lagopède d'Écosse, Pipit farlouse, Hibou des marais, Faucon émerillon, Tarier pâtre, Tarier des prés, Coucou gris, Grive musicienne, Pic vert, Buse variable, Milan royal, Busard Saint-Martin and Traquet motteux.

Accès

8 miles west of Wrexham on the Ruthin road. Click on the P in the map for directions. Bus X51 runs hourly, Mon to Sat and 2-hourly Sundays from either town. Nearest train station, Wrexham.
