Description
Blakeney Point is a National Nature Reserve and AONB. Thriving nesting site for Sterne pierregarin, Sterne arctique, Sterne caugek and Sterne naine. Also Mouette rieuse and occasional Mouette mélanocéphale. Common and grey seals breed. Winter wildfowl such as Eider à duvet, Macreuse noire and Oie à bec court. And rare passage autumn migrants such as Pie-grièche grise, Pipit de Richard, Pouillot à grands sourcils and Fauvette épervière. Phragmite des joncs and Rousserolle effarvatte in the reed beds.

Parking at Cley for those attempting the long difficult walk on shifting shingle to the point. NB the Visitor Centre is currently closed. Park at Morton Quay or Blakeney Quay for boat trips. Check tide times as the car park can get flooded, also boats only run 4 hours either side of high tide. See the link to the tides table below.
