Description

The Ardnamurchan Peninsula is noted for being very unspoilt and undisturbed and its remoteness is accentuated by the fact that the main access route from Salen on Loch Sunart is a winding single track road for much of its length of 38 km. There are moorland, forests, lochs and beaches to explore including the magnificent Sanna Bay and wildlife is all around, from Aigle royal to whales and dolphins.

Accès

Take the Corran Ferry (tiny ferry across the beautiful Loch Linnhe, the Corran ferry runs until 9.30 pm every day and costs £8.20 single for a car). Once on the peninsula, leave the tiny hamlet of Ardgour behind and follow the single-track road west along Loch Sunart, Scotland’s longest sea loch, to Moidart and then on to Ardnamurchan through Glenborrowdale to literally the end of the road. Allow 2 hours to drive from Ardgour to the end of the peninsula. Be aware of the single-track roads on the peninsula.
