Description

Allhallows Marshes cover 98 hectares of land consisting of grazing marsh with water courses, ditches, fields, dykes and hedgerows. The brackish, grazing marshes attract many birds. Wading birds like Chevalier gambette, Huîtrier pie, Barge rousse, Barge à queue noire, Courlis cendré, Courlis corlieu, Avocette élégante and Combattant varié. But also many other birds like geese, ducks and gulls. Also Hibou des marais and Busard des roseaux, Grand Gravelot, Grande Aigrette and Coucou gris can be seen. Others seen from time to time are Pie-grièche écorcheur and Merle à plastron on passage. Ibis falcinelle is a current visitor.
