The Guêpier de Perse breeds in Asia, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. They also do so in eastern Turkey. They nest solitarily or in loose colonies of up to ten birds. They sometimes nest in colonies with Guêpier d'Europe. The dry and open surroundings of the hamlet of Hüyüklü are a good spot to see Guêpier de Perse. They are summer guests and breed in the area. Other birds you can see in the area are Guêpier d'Europe, Tourterelle maillée, Tourterelle des bois, Rollier d'Europe, Huppe fasciée, Francolin noir, Buse féroce, Milan noir, Pic syriaque, Traquet motteux, Traquet de Finsch and Prinia gracile.
