Description
The Gerlafinger Weiher was created in 1896 by artificial damming. It served as a reservoir for the utility water supply of Von Roll-Werke. The lake offers a diverse vegetation and around it developed a floodplain forest. Today it is an important wintering site for Canard colvert (up to several hundred), Sarcelle d'hiver and Canard chipeau.
