Description
Bärmatte is a small wetland where seemingly undisturbed by the nearby highway, a wide variety of birds can be observed. Râle d'eau and Grèbe castagneux nest in the reeds. A breeding wall specially built for this species houses a colony of Hirondelle de rivage. Bärmatte is also a regionally important resting place for waders. Also habitat of more than 20, partly rare dragonfly species.
