Description
The Schollenmühle - a former peat factory - is located in the middle of the Bannriet-Spitzmäder nature reserve. Peat extraction has left a varied landscape relief here. The 53-hectare nature reserve has meadows, moorland and agricultural land with many birds, especially in the summer season. Cigogne blanche and lots of other interesting bird species are breeding here. Sometimes you can also find a Cigogne noire.

The nature reserve and the observation tower are located in a driving ban zone. If possible, please travel by public transport or use the parking spaces indicated on the map. The bus stops are located directly on the outskirts of the area (marked with a star on the map). You can only enter the nature reserve with the bike or by foot.
