Svartskatan is a shallow bay where many birds can be seen, especially in spring. From a bird tower you have splendid views over the area. Among the birds you can see are Sarcelle d'hiver, Garrot à oeil d'or, Canard siffleur, Foulque macroule, Oie cendrée, Cygne chanteur, Fuligule morillon, Courlis cendré, Pygargue à queue blanche and Hibou des marais.
