Normally Söne Mad is one large and clear water area, suitable for resting ducks, geese and other wetland birds. A good place to see Pygargue à queue blanche, Faucon pèlerin and Busard des roseaux. Nesting birds are Bécassine des marais, Râle d'eau, Butor étoilé and Torcol fourmilier in the summertime. Often you can also encounter Pic épeichette and Panure à moustaches.

By car or bike to either the bird tower at Nyckelbergstornet (Park on the left in the field before the forest slope before the harbor. It is then approx. 300 m left to walk on the forest road.
