Lillängsgölen is easily accessible by a bird observation tower. The lake is best from May to June when the breeding birds arrive. In the reed Phragmite des joncs, Râle d'eau and Bruant des roseaux breed. On the coastal wetlands Grue cendrée, Bécasse des bois Bécassine des marais and Vanneau huppé breed. Plongeon catmarin, Grèbe esclavon, Canard colvert, Sarcelle d'hiver, Cygne chanteur and Garrot à oeil d'or breed on the lake. Some years Chevalier culblanc, Fuligule milouin, Bernache du Canada, Busard des roseaux, andFaucon hobereau breed.
In the forest around many pine favouring birds breed, some more common are Tétras lyre, Mésange huppée, Pie-grièche écorcheur, Grand Tétras, Accenteur mouchet, Torcol fourmilier, Pic épeichette, Pic épeiche, Pic noir, Pouillot véloce, Balbuzard pêcheur, Épervier d'Europe, and Buse variable.

Lillängsgölen is located 18 km northeast of Eksjö. There is a small parking lot next to the road. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The trail to the birding tower (500 m) is not clearly marked.
