Långängen-Elfvik has lots of nature around, with lakes and a wetland nearby. The landscape varies from forest to meadow, with lots of connecting trails and diverse birds species. The pin of the location is the spot where there is a bird observation tower that overlooks the wetland. There are many other spots from which one can enjoy birdwatching in comfort, including a few benches in prime location, also overlooking the wetland. In summer there is a family of Cygne chanteur that is well known to the birdwatchers of the area.

Lots of parking spaces in a few locations around the area. The main paths can be busy but are accessible to prams and wheelchairs, and allow for lovely experience surrounded by nature. In summer the place is very popular. Birding is best by walking around, but also possible by bike or horseback riding.
