Description
The Skåneleden hiking trail runs through Häljarps Våtmark along the Saxån stream. You pass large areas of reeds. Meadows that are grazed by cows in the summer. There is a small forest grove consisting of alder, pine, birch and various shrubs such as elder and sedge. Skåneleden runs through the area and Saxåslingan around the forest grove. You can start at Fiskestugan on Ågatan, Häljarp, and follow the Skåneleden upstream. After about 1 km, a path connects from Plastgatan and after about 600 m you come to Saxåslingan. The mixed biotope means that the area is home to many different bird species.

Start: Ågatan Fiskestugan in Häljarp, parking available. Häljarp's industrial area Plastgatan, parking available. Connect via the Skåneleden from the south from Klintkärrsvägen, park by the soccer fields. Click on a P in the map for directions. At high tide, some parts of the path along the river may be flooded. On those occasions, you can go down via Klintkärrsvägen.
