Description

Faludden is a large bird protection area with open, tree- and shrub-free areas. The vast open beach meadows on Faludden can hold large numbers of waders. Especially in spring – from early April to mid-May – but also in autumn – mainly in October – thousands of Bernache nonnette and other geese roil on the headland, and the bird protection area has been created primarily to prevent the grazing geese from being disturbed and to reduce damage to surrounding arable land. Birders often find rarities on Faluden as this peninsula sticks out to the east. Note: Entry is prohibited from 15 March to 30 June and from 1 October to 15 November.
