From the birdtower at Beijershamn and the path going along the beach you will have an amazing view over the vast sand banks and islands in the bay. This is a great location for observing nesting and migrating birds, especially waders and shore birds. This bay hosts a variety of species year round like Tadorne de Belon, Avocette élégante, Pygargue à queue blanche and Bécasseau minute. Note: During spring, summer and autumn it is forbidden to leave the trail in order to protect the eggs, chicks and migrating birds in the area.

From Färjestaden it is only 7 kilometers by car, bike or bus. There are designated parking spots which lie close to the birdtower. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
