For the one without a car Båstad hamn is one of few options, located in the harbour its easy to reach. It should be said that it is also second best compared to more remote sites such as Kattvik and Hovs hallar. The majority of the birds doesnt enter the Laholms bay and therefore not seen from Båstad harbour.
In days of storm (preferably since a couple of days) and the wind comes from NW Båstad hamn can be an exiting place to be; Fulmar boréal , Grand Labbe Fou de Bassan , and especially Océanite culblanc. Sometimes more rare species show up such as Puffin fuligineux , Océanite tempête , Labbe pomarin and Puffin des Anglais . Also Guillemot de Troïl , Pingouin torda and sometimes Mergule nain can be seen.
Under the right circumstances the birds can "get caught" in the bay and circle around it several times. By nature it is very windy when visiting the harbour, depending on the direction of the wind the (for the season closed) beach club gives some shelter, otherwise standing behind the wall on the west pier works.

If going by car, drive to Båstad harbour and park there.
