Description
The small Puebla campsite is situated on the Embalse de José Torán. This reservoir is located on the bird migration route to Tarifa. As spring progresses, a large part of the reservoir dries up, allowing you to make beautiful walks inside the reservoir. Especially during the autumn migration the (empty) reservoir is visited by hundreds of Grand Gravelot and Petit Gravelot, 3 species of Bergeronnette printanière, countless Hirondelle rousseline, as well as Hirondelle de rochers, Hirondelle de fenêtre, Hirondelle de rivage and Hirondelle rustique. Huppe fasciée can be seen in large numbers. Élanion blanc hunts every day, often with 2 or 3 individuals.
In spring and summer the campsite has breeding Pie-grièche écorcheur, Rougequeue noir, Rougequeue à front blanc, Gobemouche noir, Gobemouche gris, Pie-grièche méridionale, Moineau espagnol, 4 species of tits, Pic épeiche, Pic épeichette and Pic vert. The Aigle ibérique and Vautour fauve breed in the vicinity of the campsite. Circaète Jean-le-Blanc, Aigle botté and Balbuzard pêcheur are also frequently seen, as are Milan noir and Milan royal.
Located between Seville and Cordoba, the small campsite is an excellent place to stay surrounded by nature. There are a huge variety of birds to spot on and around the campsite. If you stay for a few days, you can easily see 80 species of birds up close.
