Directly at the parking lot are many birds and mainly the Barbary Ground Squirrels are sometimes fed by tourists. Birds are therefore very confident. A pair of Tarier des Canaries gives splendid views here. The gardens are brilliant for passerine migrants as they aggregate here in a small area. The lagoon is good for waders and a group of Spatule blanche is wintering here.
