Laguna del Toro is a quiet and secluded place. If you travel on the highway you can take a break here and do some nice birding. Another way to access the lagoon is through the small town of Nueva Jarilla, along a dirt road. Among the birds you can see here are Foulque macroule, Gallinule poule-d'eau, Glaréole à collier, Sterne hansel, Fuligule milouin, Cochevis huppé, Goéland leucophée, Grèbe castagneux, Tourterelle turque, Tourterelle des bois, Héron cendré, Ibis falcinelle, Petit Gravelot.
