Take the small road (Av. Del Rubicon) running south from Yaiza to La Degollada. There are plenty of spots to park and view from the car or get out and explore the tracks. Birds seen in Feb 2025: Pipit de Berthelot, Pie-grièche grise, Tadorne casarca, Grand Corbeau, Moineau espagnol and Roselin githagine. Supposedly a good area for Fauvette à lunettes but I did not see them.

Español: Se accede tomando una carreterita (Av. Del Rubicón) que va desde Yaiza hacia el sur, hasta que llega a La Degollada. Hay muchos sitios para aparcar y ver pájaros desde el coche o salir y caminar por las pistas. Aves vistas en febrero de 2025: Pipit de Berthelot, Pie-grièche grise, Tadorne casarca, Grand Corbeau, Moineau espagnol, Roselin githagine. Se supone que es una buena zona para ver Fauvette à lunettes pero se me escapó.

You can explore the area of La Degollada by car, foot or bike. Start in Yaiza (plenty of buses go here) then head up Av. Del Rubicon past the cemetery to La Degollada. You can bird from the road or park up in the lay-bys and head up the tracks that run off the road into the scrub on foot.
