On the edge of the village of Vadu is one of the southernmost spur of the Danube Delta. Due to the presence of shallow pools, the area is popular for waders.

Description

Due to the presence of shallow pools, the Vadu area is popular with waders such as Bécasseau falcinelle, Échasse blanche, Bécasseau de Temminck, Bécasseau minute, Gravelot à collier interrompu and Phalarope à bec étroit. In spring and autumn it is a good place for migratory birds. But also in summer many marsh birds such as Héron pourpré, Ibis falcinelle, Guifette moustac, Bihoreau gris, Busard des roseaux, Marouette poussin and Rousserolle isabelle are breeding in this area.
