Most of this area near the Buzau river is open rocky terrain with scattered bushes and poplar where a multitude of birds make their home. This includes, among others Rollier d'Europe, Loriot d'Europe, Guêpier d'Europe, Huppe fasciée, Traquet isabelle, Faucon hobereau, Buse féroce, Traquet motteux, Pic syriaque, Tourterelle des bois, Pie-grièche à poitrine rose and Pie-grièche écorcheur. Busard cendré, Aigle botté and Cigogne blanche also often pass by.
In the northern end by the Buzau river other birds such as Aigrette garzette, Oedicnème criard, Petit Gravelot, Chevalier aboyeur, Chevalier sylvain and Guifette moustac can be seen.

The site is located north of the village of Bentu. A large gravel road runs through the area from Bentu to the Buzau River. It is recommended to drive to the northern end of the area where most of the birds are located. Press P on the map for directions. From here the area can be explored on foot or by bike.
