This spot is located 30 km north of Porto on the northern riverside of Ave estuary, where on low tide some mudflats become accessible for birds to forage. There is a nearby dock where gulls congregate. There (and looking from there to the southern river side), it's possible to spot Goéland leucophée (all year around) but it particularly pays off to keep and eye on gulls during winter since it's possible to find Goéland brun, Mouette rieuse, Mouette mélanocéphale, Goéland cendré and Goéland marin. On the mudflats it's easy to spot Tournepierre à collier and Chevalier guignette. During migration the mudflats serve as a stopover site for waders and it's possible to spot Courlis cendré, Barge rousse and Barge à queue noire. On the trees and garden spaces its possible to find Merle noir, Rougegorge familier, Chardonneret élégant, Fauvette à tête noire, Mésange charbonnière, Serin cini and Cochevis huppé, to name just a few.
