A bay heavily overgrown with reeds and marshy shores - therefore observations in this place are only possible from a large distance, using a telescope. The places from where you can observe the bay are located on a hill, providing a great view. At any time of year, there are many water birds in the bay. During migrations and in winter, these are mainly flocks of: Canard colvert, Canard chipeau, Canard siffleur, Sarcelle d'hiver, Canard souchet, Fuligule morillon, Foulque macroule, Grèbe huppé, Grèbe castagneux, Mouette pygmée (up to several thousand individuals), Cygne tuberculé, Cygne chanteur, Oie rieuse, Oie de la toundra, Harle bièvre, Harle piette and Garrot à oeil d'or. During the breeding season Guifette noire and Guifette moustac nest in this area. The bay is a regular hunting ground for Pygargue à queue blanche and Balbuzard pêcheur (spring and summer).

The best place to observe is near the village of Skarchowo - look for elevations. The shores of the bay are inaccessible, there are no roads passable for cars. The suggested parking place is marked on the map. Press P on the map for directions.

A good observation point is located on the shores of a disused gravel pit near Skarchowo. It should be noted that it is best to arrive there early in the morning, before the sun begins to make observations difficult by blinding the observer.
