Żabie Doły is a natural enclave among the densely built urban areas of Bytom, Chorzów and Piekary Śląskie. They are a habitat suitable for the reproduction of many animals, which are difficult to find in such a highly urbanized region. In 2018 the area was revitalized - hides, walkways and bird watching stations were created. The birds themselves have gained artificial islands, where they can safely rest and breed. You can observe here among others: Blongios nain, Grèbe huppé, Cygne tuberculé, Foulque macroule, Mouette rieuse, Râle d'eau, Bécassine des marais and Canard colvert.
