Nature reserve Świdwie is a Ramsar Convention site, aimed at protecting wetlands of international importance. The area of the reserve is 900 hectares, only about 100 hectares are open water. It is an important breeding ground for bird species such as Oie cendrée, Grue cendrée, Butor étoilé, Blongios nain, Râle d'eau, Marouette poussin, Gorgebleue à miroir and Panure à moustaches. Exceptionally breeding (one of several cases in Poland) was here Échasse blanche. Świdwie is an important place for migrating birds like geese: Oie de la toundra, Oie rieuse and Grue cendrée and an important feeding ground for many birds of prey breeding in the area: Pygargue à queue blanche, Balbuzard pêcheur and .

Polski: Duże eutroficzne jezioro z szerokim pasem trzcin, bardzo malownicza dzika okolica. Rezerwat przyrody wpisany na listę konwencji ramsarskiej, mająca na celu ochronę obszaró wodno-błotnych mających znaczenie międzynarodowe. Powierzchnia rezerwatu to 900 ha z czego ponad 400 ha to trzinowiska, a tylko ok 100 ha zajmuje otwarta woda. Jest ważnym miejscem rozrodu takich gatunków ptaków jak : Oie cendrée, Grue cendrée, Butor étoilé, Blongios nain, Râle d'eau, Marouette poussin, Gorgebleue à miroir, Panure à moustaches. Wyjątkowo lęgowy (jeden z kilku przypadkó w Polsce) był tu Échasse blanche. Jest ważnym miejscem dla ptaków migrujących jak gęsi: Oie de la toundra, Oie rieuse czy Grue cendrée, oraz ważnym żerowiskiem dla wielu ptaków drapieżnych lęgowych w okolicy: Pygargue à queue blanche, Balbuzard pêcheur, Aigle pomarin.

The reserve is located about 20 km north of Szczecin. The easiest way to get there is by car through Tanowo and Węgornik, there are signposts on the route from Tanowo. At the reserve from the south, there is a newly renovated lookout tower and a car park. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can get here by bike through Głębokie, Tanowo and Węgornik (about 16 km). You can also make a nice walking trip from Tanowo (approx. 7 km) or Stolec, approx. 5 km. You can get to both towns from Szczecin by public transport.

Polski: Rezerwat położony jest ok 20 km na północ od Szczecina, najłatwiej dojechać jest samochodem przez Tanowo i Węgornik, na trasie od Tanowa znajdują się drogowskazy. Przy rezerwacie od strony południowej znajduje się nowo wyremontowana wieża widokowa, parking samochodowy oraz miejsce na ognisko z zadaszeniami. Można dojechać tu rowerem przez Głębokie, Tanowo i Węgornik (ok. 16km). Można zrobić sobie także miłą pieszą wycieczkę z Tanowa (ok. 7km) lub Stolca ok. 5 km. Do obu miejscowości dojedziemy ze Szczecina komunikacją miejską.
