Refulat Świnoujście is an extensive silting field with mudflats and one of the best shore bird watching spots in the region. Rare species of birds have been found here, such as: Bécasseau de Bonaparte, Bécasseau semipalmé, Bécasseau rousset, Chevalier bargette, Pie-grièche à tête rousse, Alouette calandrelle, and 2 breeding cases of Gravelot à collier interrompu in Poland. It is especially worth visiting in late summer and autumn.

When driving by car from the main road (ul. Karsiborska) going from the "Przeprawa Centrum" ferry, turn into a narrow asphalt road (signpost "Karsiborskie Paprocie Reserve"), the car can be parked at the Piast Canal itself at the end of the road. It is forbidden to enter by car along the Piastowski Canal. From here, you can reach Refulat on foot or by bike in two ways: along the Piastowski Canal and through the forest (marked bicycle route) - both routes are approx. 7 km.

Polski: Jadąc samochodem z głównej drogi (ul. Karsiborska) idącej od promu "Przeprawa Centrum" należy skręcić w wąską asfaltową drogę (kierunkowskaz "Rezerwat Karsiborskie Paprocie"), samochód można zaparkować przy samym Kanale Piastowskim na końcu drogi. Wjazd samochodem wzdłuż Kanału Piastowskiego jest zabroniony. Stąd na refulat można dotrzeć pieszo lub rowerem dwoma drogami: wzdłuż Kanału Piastowskiego oraz przez las (oznaczona trasa rowerowa) - obie trasy to ok. 7 km.

In the area there is the Karsiborske Paprocie reserve, near the reserve on the shores of the Szczecin Lagoon there is an observation tower, at the end of the Piastowski Canal a breakwater and heads overlooking the Szczecin Lagoon. Attention, in the refulat you should move on the embankments because the ground below can be very muddy!

Uwaga, na terenie refulatu należy poruszać się po wałach gdyż teren poniżej może być bardzo grząski!
